Dashain, the greatest festival of Nepalese culture was on the way. With great excitement , I reached my home to celebrate it. And then, the day arrived where we were supposed to receive tika and lots of blessings from our elders. All the people were jubiliant and were in a good mood to celebrate. Meanwhile, woman was sitting isolated from others in one nook of the bed. It was only later I recognized her as my aunt, unlike other on the room, the amount of happiness on her face was null. Offering his entire life to the heavenly God in Aryaghat of Pashupatinath, a thirteen years old boy called Akash Baniya has been working on the banks of Bagmati river from his childhood. Firewood, log, straw to the cremation site is supplied by him. His happiness knows no bounds, when he gets some tips for the help, from the people attending funeral. Life is not so easy to be lived. He picks waste materials to earn an extra amount. However, he likes to use some extra ordinary ideas created in his mind like throwing magnet in the river for collecting coins. We the people are performing different works for bringing change in life. We all have different responsibility for the change. But still there are many more things to change.
Who’s responsible to change?
People from different sectors are fighting with different problems to bring change. Main thing is “what kind of changes is needed by the people”.
We all the people don’t know about the different between “responsible” (what we are doing) and “change” (what we want).
