When I was a young teenager, my best friend at the time came to me and told me that her uncle was “doing things” to her he should not be doing. She made me promise not to tell anyone. The trees its’ cool breeze,
The rich offer their wealth
While only the poor offer their heart and soul.
Poor in riches, rich in love,
I give you my love and affection
For the hatred and neglect you have to offer.
Translated by Shibu Shrestha..
