Menstruation or period or menses, is a biological process of conventional and natural discharge of blood and layers of endometrium from the uterus due to the various actions of hormones. But in developing countries like ours, menstruation is impure, shameful and mucky. Menstruation, as culturally explained are those days of the month when women are bound to stay within a room, aren’t allowed to access all the ethnically and traditionally valuable things and will have to perpetuate themselves as impure. ‘Polluting touch’, that is the name given to a touch when a menstruating woman touches something she is restricted to touch. There’s another common knowing in our country Nepal among different groups of people, that menstruating woman is ritually impure. My first experience with Menstruation

Menstruation is a natural phenomenon and happens to every girl and women around the world. Normally four day of period of time blood flowing from the vagina. We women are the creators of new life into the world, and our periods are a part of that process.
