Mother’s love, yes, it is pure, true and cannot be compared to anything. Mothers always see their children young and juvenile. They are happiest when their children eat more and more. They never realize that their children are already obese or overweight. Here, I am not blaming mothers love and care, but I am just from where the obesity begins.
When the child becomes bigger in width as comparable to the height, we call it obese or overweight. Nepalese society considers being bigger is healthier and happier but they don’t have any idea about what sorts of health problems such perceptions can result in future.

Road in rural areas

To the above concern, due to the destructive earthquake of April 25 the condition of road of Nepal has completely degraded. As we know, road is important for the development of country. But there is poor financing for the construction of road as all the fund is being spent on the earthquake affected area. This has created a problem in our country. Now, the government of Nepal should focus on the construction of road mostly in the rural areas. Government should provide proper facilities of transportation for the rural people. It is very necessary for the development of the country...

Strengthening capacity of Adolescent Friendly Health Services for Adolescents

ICPD program of action highlights the critical need to address adolescent sexual and reproductive health issues by making available of information and services and with the education of young men to respect women’s self-determination and to share responsibility with women in the matter of sexuality and reproduction.
Many of the health institutions have upgraded the services as adolescent-friendly health services as per foreseen by NHSP-II, 25 % led to the introduction of adolescent sexual and reproductive health programs. We can see proper equipment along with books and teaching guideline available in health services.

Dashain, the greatest festival of Nepalese culture was on the way. With great excitement , I reached my home to celebrate it. And then, the day arrived where we were supposed to receive tika and lots of blessings from our elders. All the people were jubiliant and were in a good mood to celebrate. Meanwhile, woman was sitting isolated from others in one nook of the bed. It was only later I recognized her as my aunt, unlike other on the room, the amount of happiness on her face was null.
