With Equality comes power, with power an individual lives the life they want to. Equality ensures our reach to resources that are necessary to promote life and well-being. The vision is to have the world striving for equality as it plays a vital role in strengthening the cores of development. Equality hereby is fundamental for an individual’s, a family’s, and societal growth and progress.

Equality yet being envisioned as a core element of development, has not been embraced by society the way it should. The constitution recognizes everyone is equal in the vision of law but society fails at doing so. The authenticity of equality is confined to the numerous pages of books but not in the mentality of people. The real equality a world craves is rare and people with power and privileges sell equality in the name of fame and prestige. Every other person belonging to a marginalized or vulnerable group becomes the victim of discrimination at some point in their life and this discrimination affects the intensity of the contribution an individual can offer to the society. Thus, the equality we are living in this 21st century is blurred and this blurriness has affected the entire structure of the society.

The blurred equality we are living with must be addressed as soon as possible. It can only be done by using a lens with accurate power to focus the image of equality in the right place, at the right time, and for the right people. The accuracy of the lens can be increased by the development of a system that integrates every individual’s right and interest, implementation of strong laws designed for equality, incorporation of the concept of equality in the school curriculums, decentralization and monitoring of power and duty, intersectoral coordination, community empowerment, vocational training, and skills development. Only by doing, the actual equality can be felt and an individual’s and societal growth can be accelerated.
