"Virginity", the trending term of today, yet unanswered. Talking straight to the point, there are some questions to which I’ve never got a definite answer. They are: "Does virginity reflect your character?" "Is sex before marriage, a taboo?" "Is it considerable, having an extra marital sexual relationship?" "Does modern dress really provoke men to rape a girl" "Being an adult star and talking about adult content, is it something to be ashamed of?" My brain, mixed of social norms and activism always has dispute in this matter, a war starts between my two contrasting thoughts, whose winner is not yet declared. My left and right mind debates like this on the above questions: "Does virginity reflect your character?" Right brain, Of course not. It is just a ruptured hymen. It is no one else’s business about how is my hymen: ruptured or not. Anyways, I am not showing it to all, it’s not a public property to talk about, I don't owe an explanation to all. Left brain, Of course, it does. If else, why don't you accept a prostitute as your "in-laws". Why this word is considered as a slang (vesiya aka valu) ? "Modern talks are all vain, Why can't a raped girl smile again? Question no: 2 "Is sex before marriage, a taboo?" Right brain Sex termed as "love making", is an expression of love. Even religion says everybody has the right to express and feel loved. Then why lovemaking needs a marital certificate? Does it mean, just because you are married to a person, marital rape is allowed because you have a marital certificate? Left brain, If it’s not a crime, then why did you kill an innocent unborn child, Of course! souvenir of love making. Because you don't have guts to face the society as a single mother. But here's my question, if you have not done anything wrong, why are you so afraid, why are you in regret? Question no.3 Right brain, Little shaky, my right mind asked, "why not, if we are not satisfied with each other". Just like, food for appetite, warmth for cold, shelter for protection. Sex, another basic need, why not happiness to my unsatisfied soul. Yet I fulfill all my responsibilities. Left brain, With a rage, left mind asked, "how"? and what about all those vows? If it’s okay, why can't you tolerate same kind of in-laws for your children. Question No: 4 left brain, If skin is supposed to be exposed, why were clothes made? Showing cleavage and thighs is okay? Then, why are you uncomfortable to go to your parents the same way? There is some sensual part nature has made, meant to attract opposite sex. Yes, you can't control them, but you are responsible for your own steps. Right brain, What a shit! If so why aren’t girls raped in beach?No man was ever raped in spite of roaming, only in boxers. Isn't he exposing all his body. Even 6 year olds and 60 years old are raped. But at last, short dress is what they blame. Question no 5 : Left brain, Adult stars and adult movies are filled with nudity and vulgarity, distracting the people and spreading bad message. For the sake of money, how can someone sell their body. It is unacceptable, being nude in front of the whole world and not knowing with how many they have hooked up. Right mind, Like any other professional’s profession, what is wrong if they are doing their work. Just because they choose different profession we cannot doubt them of being a good human, they do have same emotions, a loving heart, a dream, wish of being appreciated by people, they too have ups and downs and own circumstances in life. In tough times they have donated huge amount of their earning and showed their humanity. It is claimed that they show nudity which is vulgar but what about the sexual postures at walls, outside historic places and outside the temple? When you claim for your rights, you should be parallelly responsible towards your duties and consequences. Never forget who you are and where your roots are and what you were meant for. When you have answers for all of the above questions with alertness of consequences, go ahead, you are ready for your rights and fulfil your duties too.
