"Girls learn about accountability"

On July 22 and 23, Visim conducted a workshop with 15 adolescent girls of Nuwakot to help them learn about accountability. The workshop was jointly conducted by Visible Impact and Accountability Lab.
Using girls centered learning models like games, roles plays, movie screening, social mapping etc. the girls learnt about the basics of accountability, tools and exmaples of accountability that helped them identify the method and need of being accountable and seeking accountability at family, community and national level.
Our social mobilizer Manisha Upreti shares "I am amazed to see the leadership ability being developed withing this girls at such a short time. I never could imagine that these adolescent girls would unleash their leadership and be able to share their stories in such a refined way"
Visim is mentoring 15 girls for 9 months to unleash the citizen journalist within them, as a part of its Girls: Better after quake program.
