"The girls receive workshop on psychosocial support"

The adolescent girls were provided with a fun filled, interactive workshop about mental health - how to identify them, importance of understanding them, identifying if their kits and kins are looking for psychosocial support, and who to approach in case of support required. Due to taboo, mental health is overlooked most of the time, but are imperial especially in disaster settings. The program emphasized on enabling girls to be able to talk about mental health with their peers and families and help comfort people. The girls at the end of the workshop shared, "We thought insanity is the only mental problem and discriminated them, but never realized there could be other forms of psychosocial support. This workshop is going to be embedded in our life for a long long time. We feel enlightened!"
